- Build a model sprint car and review lesson plans that will help students do the same.

If you're a teacher or youth mentor who is looking for an exciting project that involves solar energy, math, science, creativity and craftmanship, you won't want to miss this free workshop. Educators, home schoolers and youth mentors are invited to learn how to teach middle school age kids how to design and construct a model solar car. Workshop attendants will receive basic parts kits, literature, lessons, resources and area event information while enjoying pizza, refreshments and hands-on activities. Any educator who registers a team for the Junior Solar Sprint Competition that will take place in May 2007 in Saratoga Springs will receive FREE solar panel.
