ENERGY WORKSHOPS OFFERED ACROSS NEW YORK STATE

The New York Energy Smart Students Program offers a variety of full-day and half-day professional development workshops for educators. The workshops provide comprehensive, objective information about the concepts, sources and uses of energy, as well as its impact on the environment, the economy
and society.

Workshops include: Energy Literacy, The Science of Energy,
Energy Efficiency at Home and Energy Efficiency at School.

Educators will learn effective ways to teach students about energy efficiency and conservation and receive tools to help use energy more wisely at home and at school. Through presentations, small group work and engaging hands-on activities, attendees will gain practical knowledge about effective actions they and their students can take to save energy -- and
money.

Workshop activities are taken from the free curriculum provided to participants.

Pre-registration is required. For an up-to-date list of scheduled
workshops, further information and easy on-line registration, go to
